Bridgeport Wins the 8th Grade FCFL Championship

The 7-1 Bridgeport Wakeman Cowboys team dominated the 8th Grade Division this regular season and Playoffs. As the #2 Seed in the AFC they shutout #7 Seed Trumbull 32-0 in Round one of the Playoffs and beat the #6 Seed Fairfield Silver 30-14 in the Semi-Finals. In the AFC Championship Game Bridgeport beat the #1 Seed New Canaan Black team 44-21. Then in the 8th Grade AFC vs NFC Championship Game they beat the AFC #2 Seed New Canaan Red Team 18-14 to win it all.
